“I have a background in Performing Arts, Education and Marketing…I didn’t have a Stage Mum growing up to take me to dance classes, nor was dancing ever really my thing, I was much more interested in theatre…but when I first tried burlesque I thought “OMG YES! ANYONE CAN DO THIS!”.
After the birth of my son I felt quite isolated at home, gone were my upbeat exciting adventures, who was this stay at home, tired Mum bun lady with a different post partum body?
Enough was enough, hello Burlesque Classes, designed for Mums to reconnect with their sass, find friends, feel fabulous, while our babies gurgled away happily near by.
Fast forward seven year and Burlesque Beauties has exploded!
It didn’t take me long to realise ALL women would benefit from these classes, there are SO many women out there struggling to feel comfortable in their own skin, seeking a creative outlet/platform, longing for like minded friends, a sense of belonging, looking for a challenge, wanting to harness their incredible feminine energy and not be judged for flexing it.
I am passionate about burlesque and feel incredibly honoured to be a part of so many incredible women’s journeys towards self love, confidence and sass. It has been seven years now and we continue to grow. I get just as much excitement and growth out of participating as my dancers do, it’s absolute magic.
I create the platform, but my dancers definitely make the magic!”
